Went to Guana Dam on A1A in Florida and tried our luck at catching blue crabs again, in a matter of a couple hours we had 40 nice sized ones and even had a surprise, we caught a unique South American purple Bocourt swimming crab...

Sandlapper we moved from fishing Mayport to St. Augustine inlet and fishing has been outstanding there with almost every inshore fish being caught coming into that inlet! Last Wednesday we counted 17 different varieties we caught by boat, half of which were eatable some were weird looking and others undersized Shocked

It was a blowfish, it keeps sucking in water till it blows up to that size and turns into a spiked ball hiding all of it's extremities, sort of like when a man gets cold everything shrivels up smaller then it already was, can anyone relate Shocked ...lol

It's actually called a Porcupine fish, a member of the Puffer family.

Could be at least some variety of the puffer family, I googled porcupine fish and it showed most or those fish with a lot of sharp porcupine like quills(first picture) sticking out, this one(second picture) didn't have a lot and they were kind of rubbery!

It's a 19 foot Key West center console with a 140 Johnson 4 stroke, ideal for intercoastal and inshore fishing!

Check this women out,

I went out on Jacksonville pier Yesterday/Wednesday and large redfish were running the north side of the pier, this woman caught 5 this size in an hour and was sitting next to me, this being the biggest at 44 inches...She wasn't married and I told her I have this friend in SC that would probably hold her as tight as she was holding that fish, she sounded interested anyone from SC interested back? Laughing

I caught/missed one...My first large redfish that bent my circle hook straight, but I did see it as they were trying to get the pier net under it and that counts a little since I would have still had to release it! Very Happy

I've been on that Jax pier a few times. Never caught a fish. Looks like I really "should have been there yesterday".
Nice woman! But, I doubt if my wife would ever allow it.
Those surely are the "Bull Reds" you see in the magazines. Looks like you could get out there amongst those giants with that boat.
Changed your address yet? You could trade that snow blower for a nice skiff Idea
